The Scooter Passes

Yet another legend-like figure from Yankee lore passed away late Monday evening.

He was the voice for most of the the games I watched growing up.

Hall of Fame, Voice of the Yankees, League MVP, All-Star, World Series Champion

A True Yankee..

And don't forget that he was also the voice of 'The Money Store'in Jersey. Will never forget those commercials growing up.

Called Maris' 61st home run in 1961 and there was no better person to do it.

Two weeks ago I was given an autographed baseball signed by Phil, and im lucky to have it.

RIP Scooter

The Scooter more than Mel Allen or Red Barber real was the voice of the Yankees for more than 40 years. And to think that they replaced his voice on the radio with Susan Waldman's. Yikes.

On a different subject - Mid, your boy Karstens got lit up again. He is doing his best to become the righthanded Igwa.

Here's the link to the commercial that 57 referred to. It's a classic.
