Well I suppose it's time for me to make my pick.

This was a difficult a decision...allow me to explain my dilemma.

As some of you know, I grew up in the shadows of Giants Stadium. It is here that my devotion to Parcells (Go Dolphins) began. I was lucky enough to see a great deal of the classic mid-late 80's Giants teams (as well as some really bad once before them).

My football heroes are LT of course (the real LT...not the soft, overrated running back on the Chargers), Harry Carson; Leonard Marshall; Jim Burt....For most of my life, I admittedly bled Giant Blue. But if you look closely at that list, you will find that most of them were coached by the greatest defensive coordinator to ever wear the headset....add that to the fact that for the last 7-8 years of my life I have been a New Englander, and you can see why my loyalties are split.

There are reasons not to want to root for the Giants...mostly the fact that Michael Strahan is an idiot....but there are also reasons not to want to root for the Pats...mostly the fact that just about the entire fan base are those same jerkoffs that I want to run over in my car come baseball season.

So, all things being equal I have decided to root for HISTORY. That's right...19-0. Team for the ages.

I think Mike Francessa probably hit it on the head with his proclamation that in the Super Bowl, the combination of the Great Coach and the Great Quarterback doesn't often lose.

Write it down....Patriots 31----Giants 17
