Opening Day Washed Out

We talked about this quite a bit last season - MLB must have morons working in its scheduling department.

Is it a surprise that in March there was inclimate weather in NY?

The first week of games should be for dome teams, or games in the South and West.

Anyway, let's hope the Bombers can get a game in tomorrow.

In other news, the Mets got a win against the Florida Marlins. Who's next, the Buffalo Bisons?

Congrats to 57, not me, but Johan Santana! What a great first outing for his new club, and only surrendering a couple of runs with 8 strikeouts! It's no surprise that this trade will pay off dividends. Randolph expects him to make 30+ starts... hope he did not jinx him with that comment. Ironically his ERA is 2.57!! 57!!!

The first four batters were a combined 7 for 16.. tremendous. Delgado dissapointed, but appeared more patient at the plate which could prove to be beneficial for him. Delgado could be a spray it around the field hitter before the end of the year.

The new and improved Pedro takes the bump tonight. Who's your daddy?

1 down, 99 to go.

Tonight: Mets: 4 Marlins: 1

Hopefully the Yankees can get a game in today (rain again in the forecast) so we don't have to listen to the blow by blow review of Muts games.

I love looking at the standings the first couple of days...Tampa, KC, and Washington are in 1st place in their divisions.

Wow - I didn't realize that KC came back to win that game - good for them.

Cano was in the lineup batting 6th - Matsui was batting 8th.

Well, Pedro blew out a hammy pitching last night after 3 1/3 and Lord knows how long he'll be out.
